Our 14th Annual Awards Dinner will be held at the Drumossie Hotel on Friday 12th March 2010.
The evening will be an excellent opportunity for friends and colleagues alike to meet for a superb evening of entertainment and fine dining. We are delighted to have secured the services of renowned actress and comedian Elaine C Smith as guest speaker and we have our very own Nicky Marr as MC once again.
Elaine is well known from her starring roles in television comedy series like Rab C.Nesbitt and West End hit plays such as Calendar Girls and Shirley Valentine. She has built a successful career in television and on the stage, but at the same time fought for the things she passionately believes in – whether that be women’s rights, independence for Scotland, or civil rights in South America. Her intelligent approach to the issues of the day combined with her warmth and humour promises a highly entertaining evening.

HBWC Member of Achievement - NEW category
|
This award allows members of the club to vote for members who are role models that motivate and inspire.
You are first invited to nominate a member who has achieved success, who may have broken down barriers or overcome challenges in order to achieve that success. She may have contributed significantly to the community, charity and/or business in the Highlands.
Members of HBWC will then be able to vote for the Member of Achievement early February 2010. By showcasing the achievements of these role models we aim to inspire and motivate women in all areas of business.
The winner will go on to represent the HBWC for the ASB Woman of Achievement Award later in the year.
