Scottish Businesswomen

The Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB) was founded in 1995 as the umbrella organisation for currently eleven business and professional women's clubs throughout Scotland. A number of other clubs and networks with similar interests are actively discussing membership.

Around 1000 women, who create wealth through their own business or contribute to Scotland's prosperity through their managerial and professional skills, are members of the ASB clubs and groups.

The ASB works with government, both national and local, enterprise organisations and businesses to further the interests of women in business, the professions and the voluntary sector. The ASB also offers access to networking, knowledge and mentoring opportunities across Scotland. Members come from every sector, age group and level of experience and responsibility.

Business and professional women have issues and concerns that may not always be addressed by traditional business or womens' groups. The ASB is in a unique position to advise how to create an effective environment in which women can develop their businesses and careers.
