The Role of the HBWC Committee

Each year, along with the Notice of the Annual General Meeting, Nomination Forms for Office Bearers (including the Club President) along with committee members is sent out allowing fully paid members to nominate another club member (or themselves) for any of the available positions.  Where more than one nomination for a given office bearer position is received or where there are more nominees for committee members than positions available then a vote will take place at the AGM.

The Committee members serve the club and the President for the Presidential Year (runs 1st April to 31st March the following year).

The President and her Committee then volunteer their time throughout the Club Year to organise meetings, book venues, fund raise and organise events, meetings and speakers.  Sub-committees concentrate on special activities such as the arrangements for the Annual Awards Dinner.
